Wayn Yooooooo!!!

I was born and raised in Zahle, Bekaa Lebanon.

Zahle is great, it is a very relaxing and easy-going environment - family and friends are very close-knit, and everyone knows (almost) everyone.

I received a great primary education at one of the best private / college prep schools in Zahle. I attended the same school from Kindergarten up through to the second senior year of High School where I changed school for the last two years of High School. At my prom night in 2001, I met the love of my life and we were a couple since then. 8 years after, in 23 August 2009 we got married. Ever since I can remember, I've always held an interest for computers, art and design, in some form or another. The earliest career goal I can remember was to be a Telecommunication Engineer. Another early aspiration was to be a Chef and have my own restaurant, which I still hope to achieve someday.

Higher Education At the time I finished school some of the universities started opening branches in Zahle, so I enrolled at the Antonin University, in the major of Telecommunications. After 5 years in the university, I got my Masters in Multimedia and Networks and enrolled in the Syndicate Of Engineers in Lebanon. Zahle is of course small, though, with few job opportunities for Multimedia Engineer, since the primary economy of the Bekaa area is geared towards the tourism and agriculture industries.

Early Career

I started working from the second year in the university where I tried to get hired as an intern every summer in any company related to computers and design. During my summer vacation, I interned at SWELPIX in Beirut for 3 months where I learned a great deal in the Creative Services / Advertising department/ Graphic department, and this was really my starting point towards the market. After that the opportunities of freelance work just kept coming.

While interning at SWELPIX, I also produced a graphic and web site designs for a couple companies and a CD for my old school in Zahle. This helped foster my interest in web design.

As much as I learned in college - and I learned a LOT - it still doesn't quite prepare you for life in the real working world.

Today

I officially moved to Beirut right after graduating from college in 2006, where I took on a full-time job with a web design/programming company. Almost 5 years later, I am still working for that same company.

My love of web design is so strong that I do this for more than just an 8-5 job. That is why I constantly maintain my own personal web site. It is also why I freelance as a web designer in my spare time.

Although lack of time is always an issue, I am constantly reading up on the latest web design and development techniques. One of the reasons that I love web design so much is that it is an ever-evolving medium.
